More About The Climate

January 11th, 2009

There is an article posted over at Pat Dollard that has another take on climate change. As expected, the conventional wisdom of the sky-is-falling crowd may be turned on its head. The interesting part that may require more reading is the part about higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere being a result of warmer ocean temperatures, not the cause.

The explanation about this part is basically sound in that most gasses dissolve more readily in colder water versus warm. Warm the water up, and the gas comes out of solution. This is demonstrable in the kitchen with a pan of water. As you heat the pan on a stove, initially small bubbles form on the surface of the pan long before the water boils. These bubbles are gasses, such as CO2 and Nitrogen coming out of soution.

This organization has successfully sponsored rallies in New York and Florida. This, among other new organizaitons that I have learned of recently. May be the beginnings of what we need to do.

Update on Reality

January 11th, 2009

Here is a precise description of how the current Gaza ‘conflict’ is connected with the greater battle between good and evil.

This war began 30 years ago with the Islamic Revolution in Iran and is now global in scope. Its agenda is the extermination of the Jews and the destruction of the West.

The Islamic terrorist organization Hamas makes no secret of this agenda. Its Egyptian founders and Palestinian inspirers were active followers of Adolf Hitler and enthusiasts of the Nazi Holocaust. The founding charter of Hamas, which promises that “Islam will obliterate Israel,” memorializes the Egyptian admirer of Hitler, Hassan al-Banna, as “the martyr…of blessed memory.” The same document contains the genocidal incitement of the Prophet Mohammed to “kill the Jews,” to hunt them down “until they hide behind the rocks and the trees, and the rocks and trees cry out ‘O Muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him.’”

And all around the world, and across Europe and throughout the United States, Muslim and secular radicals are rallying to this Nazi cause, supporting Hamas and attacking Israel and the Jews. The unholy alliance formed by Muslim fanatics and socialist radicals is the face of the terrorist future in the West. It is a coalition for whom no party is so evil that it does not deserve aid and comfort if its enemies are Israel and the United States, and if it is willing to attack them.

Indeed, this battle that has been on-going for the past several weeks is merely on of many that are part of a larger war that of which we are all a part. The rocket attacks launched from Gaza upon the Isaeli civilians are identical in inspiration and goal as the “terrorist” attack that raged through the train station in Mumbia. The Israeli military response that aims to interdict the Gaza rockets is the same right and moral response of a government taking action to protect the earthly existence of their citizens. Any other interpretation is political subterfuge inacted for vile purposes or out of criminal ignorance.

Announcement: Crime Pays

Ransom Delivery

Ransom Delivery

Today was payday for some Somali pirates.

My paycheck is one of the motivators that gets me back to the office on Monday mornings. Sometimes, it is the only motivator.

We can only expect the same motivation to continue to further re-establish the old-world, cash-flow business of the high seas.

Who We Are

January 5th, 2009

I came upon this Alan Dershowitz article at another publication but now see that it has been picked up at Frontpagemag. It is a very good article, but I shall particularly critique the title, at least on this version.

The article is titled “The Right to Defend” spoken in the context of Israel’s military action in Gaza. Certainly this is a “right,” and coming from a high-profile lawyer, perhaps this is the term we should expect. However, I will take this one step further.

Israel has something much more compelling than a “right.” Israel has an OBLIGATION to protect its citizens from attack by an agressive and violent entity. This obligation exists on a much higher moral plane than does the issue of what “rights” a sovereign nation has within the construct of some words that might exist within a text of international law.

Concise Analysis From Spain

January 4th, 2009

Among the comments to a post at Atlas Shrugs, I found this gem of understanding below. I have made one bracketed edit to increase the clarity on an important point. The rest speaks very well for itself.

I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth — Europe died in Auschwitz.

We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 40 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.

The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world.

These are the people we burned.

And under the pretence of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.

They have turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime. Holed up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition. We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for hoping for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, [we have exchanged these people and values for] for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.

What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe and whole world.

Just on a sad note

Truth and Perversion

January 3rd, 2009

Here is the rational explanation of what is being done to protect life, a thing that the living should honor:

And here is an example of the violent ones (the loud mob) who would like to end liberty and end the honoring of life:

Back to the rational part. Here is an excellent analysis from a warrior’s perspective - that being from a warrior who is interested in fighting for the right things. See the entire post at Blackfive.

This is about to get ugly and the Gazans are going to suffer the retribution they have brought on themselves. As a human being I hate nothing more than war and the loss of lives about to happen disturbs me. As a warrior I understand that when you have an enemy that tries every day to kill your children, while running and hiding from you amongst his own, then he sows their destruction along with his own. So be it.

Here We Go Again

January 2nd, 2009

It has been at least weeks, and perhaps months over which “peaceful” Muslims in the Gaza have been again increasing their indiscriminate rocket attacks on Israeli civilians . Of course you have to be looking to find those stories.

As any, at least semi-moral government must do, the Israeli government initiated its own action for the purpose of protecting its citizens. Immediately, Muslims around the world once again claim victim-hood on behalf of the Gaza attackers and the Women and Children that they hide behind.
